Areas we serve

Two states, two different housing stories.

Bayfront currently works with homeowners in Michigan and Indiana. Bayfront does not have a public office address in either state — we work with sellers remotely and coordinate as a transaction requires.

Michigan

MI

Michigan’s pressure comes from the age of its housing. In several cities more than half the homes were built before the mid-1950s, which means deferred maintenance, older systems, and properties that struggle to pass a lender’s inspection. Long-held and inherited houses are common.

1946 Median year built — Detroit Half of the city’s housing predates it.
22.0% Housing vacancy rate — Detroit 75,601 vacant units.

Indiana

IN

Indiana’s picture is different. Its population is stable or growing and its housing is newer — but mortgage distress is among the highest in the country, and a meaningful share of listings never make it to a closing. The pressure is financial rather than structural.

3rd Highest foreclosure rate among US states One filing per 2,377 housing units.
20% Listings withdrawn without selling One in five Indiana listings came off the market unsold.

Coverage

City and county pages are being built properly.

Rather than publish a page for every place name, we are working outward from the markets where we can write something genuinely useful — county tax and foreclosure timelines, local housing stock, the questions that actually differ by place.

The structure will be: state overview, then metro or county coverage, then individual city pages only where there is something specific worth saying.

We work with homeowners across both states by phone, by email and at the property itself. If a page ever says otherwise, it is wrong.

States, counties and cities

Serving these markets. Bayfront does not have a public office address, and does not claim a local office or team in any of them.

Coverage means we buy in these markets. It does not indicate a physical presence or a guarantee that any particular property will qualify.
